Texas Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors
TACCA
Article I
NAME
The name of this chapter shall be the Texas Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors (TACCA).
HEADQUARTERS
The headquarters of the corporation shall be PO Box 65 Colleyville, Texas 76034-0065.
Article II
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The purpose and objectives of the Texas Association of Cheer Coaches and Advisors (TACCA) shall be to promote the development of cheerleading by providing support for cheer coaches and acknowledge common safety standards throughout the State of Texas.
Article III
Board of Directors
The powers and business of TACCA shall be exercised and directed by the Board of Directors.
The Board shall consist of nine chartering members and up to five members elected bi-annually at the convention. The members elected at the convention will service two year terms.
There shall be at least one regular meeting of the Board of Directors every quarter. A minimum of 2 weeks notice is required for all regular and special meetings.
Functions of the Board of Directors
The functions of the directors will be to formulate and promote a program to fulfill the purpose of TACCA and more specifically to determine acceptable projects of the chapter and to recommend others who would be candidates for board membership. The officers are: President, Vice president, Executive Secretary, Treasurer and Parliamentarian.
Committees
The Board of Directors shall establish all committees and the President of the Board of Directors shall appoint the members to serve on each committee. The President of the Board of Directors may fill by appointment, vacancies occurring on any committee. A quorum at any meetings shall be a majority of the committee and a “majority” is defined as one vote over one-half the number of members present at the meetings.
Article IV
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The President shall preside at all meetings of the directors and members and shall have charge of and control over the affairs of TACCA subject to the concurrence of the Board of Directors.
In case of the absence of the President, the Vice President shall perform and be vested with all the powers of the President. The Vice President shall assume the position of President Elect.
The Executive Secretary shall keep a record of the minutes of the proceedings of the meeting or members and directors, and shall give notice as required in these bylaws of all such meetings. The Executive Secretary shall have custody of all books, records, and papers of TACCA except such as shall be in the charge of the Treasurer, or of some other person authorized to have custody and possession thereof by resolution of the Board of Directors.
The Treasurer shall keep accounts of all monies of TACCA received or distributed and shall deposit all monies and valuable in the name of and the credit of TACCA in such banks and depositories as the Board of Directors shall designate.
The Parliamentarian shall perform all duties as assigned by the President at board meetings and at meetings of the state assembly and committees. The Parliamentarian will maintain Roberts Rule of order at all meetings.
Article V
FINANCIAL
All expenses and purchases must be approved by the majority consensus of the Board .No committee should maintain a petty cash fund. All approved expense receipts must be given to the Treasurer within 30 days of expenditure.
Article VI
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Membership dues will be $75.00 per year. Membership will expire 12 months from the date of registration.
Article VII
AMMENDMENTS
Any of these bylaws may be amended by majority vote of the board at any meeting called for the purpose |
