January 27, 2014

Welcome to the Texas Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors website! I am truly proud to serve as President of such a great organization.

TACCA has some big news coming soon! We have formed an alliance and are working very closely with the Texas Girls Coaches Association and the UIL. Many new ideas and upcoming events are being planned behind the scenes right now, and we are very proud to be a part of this process!

I hope that everyone is having a great basketball season and looking forward to the playoffs! Be sure to review the AACCA safety rules and NFHS guidelines for what is allowed on the wooden floor. Not everything that is allowed on the track is allowed on a wooden surface.

Now that we are over half way through basketball season, it is already time to start thinking about and planning for cheerleading tryouts and next season. Start looking for your judges now. Judges’ calendars are already filling fast! If you need help finding judges, we will be happy to put you in contact with someone who can help.  Our friends at Spirit Event Coordinators are also available.

With spring season coming, colleges are getting ready to start recruiting cheerleaders to try out for their teams. TACCA offers an opportunity for your sophomores, juniors and seniors to get noticed by college coaches. Our annual College Recruitment Clinic is being held on February 16th in Carrollton. Please visit our college recruitment page for more information and to get your cheerleaders registered today.

Registration is now up and running for our Fourth Annual Coaches’ Conference in Grapevine, Texas. We have some great speakers lined up and are adding more every day. Sign up today, and join us for a howlin’ good time!

We invite you to explore this site and become a member of TACCA. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the TACCA Board Members. We are all ready, willing and happy to answer your questions or help you in any way possible.
